That movie is definitely the event of 2019. It might not be the best film of 2019 but is without a doubt the most interesting, crazy, magnetic and dionysian movie that you can find this year. A stoner comedy with tons of marijuana and tons of alchool with a Bukowski-like poet protagonist the famous Moondog, who has to finish his novel if he wants to continue to live an excessive life. A set of events that have nothing importand inside of them, but the famous Moondog who really bewitches your eyesight with McConaughey being the absolute perfect man for this role. A real feast of emotions, a totally lunatic ride inside the guilty plaesures of living and a marathon of Moondog's experiences that will stay for you simply unforgettable.
This movie is simply fantastic, I don't remember having so much fun in another film, I was laughing the whole time. There is an exceptional humor in that movie, a humor that is both dirty and highly noble at the same time. We really miss movies like this one, with such an eccentric character. We really dig Moondog and his crazy, hilarious life and the fact that he is not giving up his ideals. We dig the fact that this is a movie that celebrates the moment, the character, that inner power of the human being that makes him behave like a real blasphemous God. Beach Bum is a movie that came here to become an instant cult classic and to make us learn that the beauty can be found in absolute craziness in that feeling where you let yourself totally loose and you go with the river and you don't give a fuck about anything and anyone.
