Ghost In The Shell (Rupert Sanders, 2017)

As you search for the answer through the cyberpunk mythology and aesthetic, Ghost In The Shell will rise and leave its mark. There is that thing in this movie that you can find it in those gigantic block of flats and the rainy days, the action sequences and the lies that hide beneath the clean-cut façade of technology. Ghost In The Shell is a movie that will drag you away, far away. It will take you to places, it will introduce you to faces, it will make you hate this world and at the same time love it for what it is. There is this dive that you take, deep into the cold waters of reality where nothing is how it seems and beneath the surface there are "monsters" hiding from the world. Ghost In The Shell is a science fiction movie that will give you the kick that you need to fall inside the tube. The tube that takes you to the futuristic environment, to the shiny and glossy city, to the place where there is never night. There is no doubt that we are talking about a movie that relies heavily on its aesthetic, on its visuals. There is that inevitable charm that is coming from the screen towards the spectator and makes him to really dig and dig and dig till he finds the golden key of balance. Ghost In The Shell is a movie that moves like a snake, silently and ominously. It's like you are been taken to a place where there are no nightmares. Into a place where everything is peaceful. But if you take a look underneath you will see that there are nightmares that can make you shit your pants. Ghost In The Shell is about the truth. About the truth that hides. The truth that is afraid to speak. About the truth that will take its revenge. Cold and bloody.
