Private School (Noel Black, 1983)

What would the world be without guilty pleasures? We would be deadly serious all the fucking time. We wouldn't have things that make us feel young again. Boys and girls again. Private School is a shameless, cheesy teen sex comedy that relies heavily on tits and butts. And after that you have love scenes with mellow and soft music, making them the epitome of cliché and lots of scenes where the film tries to be humoristic in a most pathetic way. But you know all these words come from a mind that doesn't know how to have fun. Because in reality Private School is one of those movies that you love to watch once every three or four years, just to remind yourself that there was a time back then, that people were making movies that were so close to garbage that the fun of those films was absolutely incomparable. I do enjoy writing about serious and heavy films, but I don't think that I have most fun writing about stuff like this one. It's not the actual film that makes the difference, but the aura, the karma of the movie. You think that you have seen it all from a film, well you think again after you watch Private School.
Sex comedies might be the most "doomed" sub-genre that exists. People would tell to you that there isn't not even one really worthy of watching. Well, I disagree totally. Sex comedies are wonderful movies. They are so free of complexes that you feel liberated when you watch them. I really wonder why no famous director ever tried to make a sex comedy? Apparently due to the "sex" part. Like I have said a million times sex is an anathema for most artists out there. A fact that is a terrible shame. Sex is the truth of the world. Without sex in the movies there wouldn't be movies. Sex is, like horror, the pepper in the movie food. And I like my food real spicy, I assure you.
