Land Of The Dead (George A. Romero, 2005)

Well zombie movies tend to have a poor, generic screenplay. Land Of The Dead is no exception to the rule and beside the poor screenplay is very ugly acted also. What could have been a very interesting idea, filled with some pretty awesome gory scenes is been transformed to a boring movie, without a heart and a soul, that spends most of its time to irrelevant things and to crappy moments. The direction of the actors is awful, the dialogues are like they are been written in the fucking toilet and the story of the film can be explained in two words. Zombies eat. It seems that some films have no respect for themselves, have no respect for cinema and they certainly have no respect for the poor spectator who must endure that awful mess of a movie where everything is been made like some big time amateur grabbed a camera and wrote a screenplay at his back yard. Land Of The Dead is from the movies that you forget the moment you watch them, literally there is nothing in there, there is a huge gap in the movie, a huge gap that speaks about a film that is been made in the worst way possible and it is been executed like cinema is some type of a Z quality art that is been made only for horror junkies who have no taste and no culture. It is really sad to see films that have potential to go so wrong and it is sad to watch actors like Dennis Hopper and Asia Argento spend their talent on a horse that it is the least to say, without legs. Land Of The Dead is from the movies that insult the art of cinema, making it look really ugly and pointless, insult the brains of the spectator and insult the beauty of art in general which has as a purpose to enlighten us and not bring us to a fucking dead end where nothing lives and nothing moves. Land Of The Dead is bad, shitty, ugly, cheap, easy and predictable. It's a totally empty movie that has absolutely nothing beginning from zero floor and going down and down and down till it heats the corn of the fucking earth.
