The universe of Wes Anderson is such that exceeds any plain words, no matter how thorough, explanatory and beautiful they are. The Life Aquatic is a movie that can be understood, fully, only through its uncountable, visionary and incredibly inventive details. Every frame of the movie is like a painting from an artist. The flow of the movie, that river that runs and washes away our sins and everything else ugly in our life, can be captured by the eye of the viewer only like a glimpse due to the fact that there are so many things going on in those frames that you lose count of what you just saw. A loving, affectionate, human, truthful, gentle story that has to do with authentic intimacy. I really wonder what the fuck goes on inside Wes's head and he manages to make those incredibly deep, exquisite and beautiful movies?
The Life Aquatic carries that idiosyncratic, personal, different stamp. Once you watch it there is no way on this earth that you are going to forget it or mix it with something else. It's no secret that I would like to jump inside those frames. I don't want to live them, to eat them, to devour them. I want to be them. To be like them. And that is something that exceeds every kind of taste and goes closer to a way of thinking, living and understanding things around you. Wes's cinema is a form of art that has a very personal demon inside. A demon that doesn't have to scare people, but to intoxicate them with those extraordinary synthesis of his that take your brain and expand it, like is some kind of a baby that grows up inside the mother. The greatest artist alive.
